Hi everyone!

 

As I was continuing my tour at the Winter Trend SL 2014 event, I came across PurpleMoon Creations and their exclusive release, the mesh Heidi Coat & Dress. I'm a huge fan of PurpleMoon as their clothes are really my style. It's one of the first stores I discovered as a Second Life resident (and wannabe fashionista) and still remains a favorite. I always keep an eye on their hunts, group gifts and offers and blog their creations from time to time. So, when I saw Heidi, I couldn't resist her! I had to show her! In fact, this coat & dress is what some friends of mine call "a real Nina style". What's "a real Nina style"? Well, before becoming so much active in blogging and experimenting with different styles and looks, this is the kind of look I would go for: simple yet elegant and sophisticated. So, for old times' sake, today, inspired by PurpleMoon and Heidi, I combined a bunch of accessories and the the beautiful Alaska skin in Deep Cherry by Lumae (another Winter Trend exclusive) and created this minimal chic look. I hope you like it and don't forget to visit Winter Trend. It will open for the public on the 5th of December.

Hello my dear friends!

 

It's Black Friday today and there are a lot of sales going on around the grid. It's the perfect time to shop as most stores have 50% to 75% sales items. There are so many bargains, you simply can't miss them!

 

Anyway, today I wanted to indtroduce a new store at my blog, Preptopia. This is a rather new store as it's been around for about six months now more or less. Today I'm wearing my favorite release by Preptopia, the stunning Vintage Muse gown in Robbins Egg. The main inspiration behind Preptopia is clothes with nautical patterns but the designer is pretty much open in experimenting with more kinds of styles. I would characterise the style of more of her creations as cute, sweet, girly and casual. You can also find other cretions like this perfect gown which looks great in a fantasy setting. At the moment the designer of Preptopia is working on some Christmas-themed releases which are really wonderful and she's also on the look to join events and venues. You can find some of her creations at Designer Circle, Black Friday, and there are more to come. Stay tuned and I'll keep you update. :)



Second thing I want to share with you today is some more Avi Choice Awards news. Izara Zuta, the owner and designer of 7 Deadly s{K}ins is nominated in not 1 but 3 (!) categories! (Well done Izara!). She's a nominnee for Favorite Female Skin Designer, Favorite Male Skin Designer & Favorite Cosmetics Designer. The voting is currently on and will remain so till December 8th. Lots of things are currently taking place in the Second Life fashion world. As we move closer to Christmas and the end of this year, a lot of sales and Chrismas themed events are making their appearance.

 

One of this events is the Avi Choice Awards. If the name doesn't ring any bells, the Avi Choice Awards is simply a kind of ceremony to award people who were nominated by the public in a particular sector of Second Life (for example favorite musician, favorite, magazine, favorite club, etc). The nominations include Fashion Awards too such as Favorite Skin Designer, Favorite Fashion Event, etc. The nominees were announced about a week or two ago and you can see them here. Visiting this page also allows you to vote for your favorite designers, magazine,etc. Woo hoo! I'm so excited about that! =] I have to admit, I'm really happy to see some of my favorite designers on the list but I also feel a bit disappointed as I really feel some others, who are not there, should be. :/ Anyway, I'm sure the competition is going to be tough and I can't wait to see who'll receive the Oscars... I mean the Avi Choice Awards. =]
